Questionnaire Results - Eden and Family


  • How are you spending Christmas this year?
same as most years, we traditionally go to shawns auntie faye's on christmas eve and then come home and finish up, light candles, drink eggnog, listen to evie and get sadie and now ava , off to bed. christmas morning is pretty typical i guess presents and fun, then breakfast and play, all the while makin dinner with my mother in law kim, if mums in town she comes with us to faye's and peels potatoes and carrots on xmas after we do our exchange. then dinner.... and then i'm done.
  • What sports clubs or activities were you active in this year?
i started doing kickboxing this year and just love it. i also started running around the soccer feild beside our house.
  • Did you learn something new this year or try something new?
i learned 2 kids is a lot harder than one, and alot better too. i learned perfection doesnt exist but excellence is possible.
  • What was a book that you read or movie that you watched and particularly enjoyed this year?
ahhhhhhh i read parent magazines and flyers , saw 1 movie in the theater and it was hancock
  • Did you reach a milestone this year? (certain age... have a child, have a child graduate or leave home...)

  • What do you remember about Christmas Mornings, all of them traditionally or one in particular?
santa didn't wrap all the gifts, there was usually a show stopper that you saw when you found your name label. i remember stockings that got delivered and trying to get everyone together to go downstairs....i remember that it was always nice.
  • What are your memories of visiting Santa?
Hmmm
  • What memories do you have of putting up the Christmas Tree?
Evie, Tiajauna brass record, eggnog in Santa mugs, the orangy foil star, dad trimming the tree...
  • What do you remember about Christmas Eve at Grandma's on Lulie St.?
turtle chocolates, mandarin oranges, black velvet christmas dresses, scotch mints, melty pastel candies
  • What was your first Christmas away from home like?
fine good, strange and unique. i bought lots of decorations and decorated inside and out, started a collection of penguin decorations
  • What traditions have you carried into your own family?
most of them. garland, shortbread, crafts and decorating, evie, live nativity if my schedual allows, santa leaves 1 gift unwrapped, we leave out cookies and milk with a note, and someone jingles bells in the distance to get sadie to scurry into bed.
  • Favourite Christmas Movie?

  • What do you want for Christmas?
a full length mirror, so that i dont have to contort my body to see what my outfit looks like.
  • What do you like for dinner if you haven't planned something and everyone is hungry?
spaghetti. or lately a pre cooked chicken from the grocery store, can be made into all sorts of delight, on french bread for a sandwich, in a tortilla as a quesdilla.
  • What do you consider to be a treat for yourself?
yoga, a class, grocery shopping alone. having dinner made for me. an uninterupted bath. poutine.
  • What was a highlight of this past year in your life or your families life... an event, an award, a vacation...?
ava of course, but seeing sadie do so well in her endevours, karate and piano especially. she lights up my life and i am very proud of her.
  • What do you think of everyone meeting in a warm fun place for Christmas one year... there are 38 of us now... What a Party??
